Healing Retreat on Ikaria, the island of longevity
Greek travel, cultural, language and culinary expert, Carol Papaletsos--owner of Be My Guest in Greece, will host and guide a group of up to 8 guests on the beautiful island of Ikaria. With the wings of Icarus and the wisdom of Daedalus we will land in Therma village, at Agriolykos pension, where beautiful beaches, calm crystal sea with hot springs naturally flowing from the rocks as well as cave saunas are all at your fingertips.
Ikaria is famous for being a "blue zone" where inhabitants live significantly longer while enjoying better health than most other places in the world. This is because of the local diet, which includes local herbs, honey, wine, as well as the sense of community, as exemplified by the many "panagyria" or local festivals which include not only food and drink, but much dancing. The island also is blessed with therapeutic thermal baths. Our 7 day program will encompass all these aspects-- thermal hot spring therapy, cooking lessons, properties and use of herbs and honey, a visit to the local winery, an evening at a local festival, visits to the villages while enjoying all the deliciously heathy local specialties.
Our base will be Agriolykos pension in Therma village, which is perched on a rock above the sea , next to the ancient Greek baths, surrounded by carob, lentisk, sage, thyme, wild oregano, olive and cypress trees as well as renowned curative thermal springs --a magical environment as an ally in our healing journeys.

• 8 nights at Agriolykos B&B
• Full time guide, Carol Papaletsos, at your disposal
• All meals, including house wine
• Spa sessions in the hot springs of Therma
• 2 cooking lessons using herbs and fresh island ingredients
• Winery visit
